With this tool, you could replace a document that was already sent. Some use cases for using this tool could be:
1. An old version was sent. 2. The document has a typo. Just follow these steps:
- Step 1: On the distributed documents tab, from there right-click on the name of the document and select ‘replace’.
- Step 2: In the computer’s file finder, choose a replacement document and select open.
- Step 3: Confirm the new document’s title and select Next.
- Step 4: You can then choose whether you send notifications to the vaultholder.
Step 1: Go to the Distributed Documents tab. Right-click on the name of the document or select the file and go to Actions and select ‘replace’.

Step 2: In the computer’s file finder, choose a replacement document and select open.
Step 3: Confirm the new document’s title and select Next.
Step 4: You can then choose whether you send notifications to the vault owners. IF you don't want to send any notification leave all black and click Save.
- If you want to notify the vaultholder via the in-vault notification bell, select the first checkbox and if you would like to send them an email notification select the second checkbox.
- You can also tailor the message and preview it and from there and select Save.
