How to Add and Manage Co-Owners?

Attention! Only Admins can add Co-Owners.

Admins in 2-tier portals and Head Office Admins in 3-tier portals can assign or remove Co-Owners to Vaults. Co-Owners have the same permissions as the Vault's Primary Contact and can fully access the Vault's contents.

Step by step:

Step 1: Select Vault.

  • Go to the Vault in the client list.
  • Select the vault and Right-click to see the Actions menu.

Step 2: Select 'Add Co-Owner'.Add Co-Owner option in the Actions menu on the Client/ Vault List

Step 3: Fill in the First Name, Last Name and Email

  • Send Activation Email: Check this box when you want to send the activation email with the co-owner.
  • Create Vault for Co-owner: Check this box if this co-owner should also have their own vault set up.

Step 4: Click SaveAdd a Co-owner window


Viewing and Managing Co-Owners

Administrators can view the Co-Owners under the Co-Owners tab bellow Clients/ Vault List. Right-click to see the Co-Owned Vaults, Resend Activation Email or provided a Vault.

  • Navigate to the Co-Owners Tab under the Clients/Vault List.
  • Right-click on a Co-Owner's name to:
    • View the Vaults they co-own.
    • Resend the activation email.
    • Give them their personal vault.

Removing a Co-Owner

  • Navigate to the Vault details page.
  • In the Co-Owners Tab, locate the Co-Owner.
  • Use the three-dot menu to select Unassign.

Steps for Head Office Admins in a 3-Tier Portal

Adding a Co-Owner:

  1. Access the Sub-Portal:

    • Go to the Clients Tab.
    • Select the Portal where the vault is located.
    • Search for the vault.
  2. Add a Co-Owner:

    • Right-click on the Vault and select Add Co-Owner, or see Details to do this Action.
    • Provide the First Name, Last Name, and Email Address.
    • Optional:
      • Send Activation Email: Invite the Co-Owner immediately.
      • Create Vault for Co-Owner: Create a personal Vault for the Co-Owner.
  3. Save Changes:

    • Click Save to add the Co-Owner.

Managing Co-Owners Across Sub-Portals:

  • Navigate to the Co-Owners Tab in the Head Office Admin view.
  • Right-click on the name to see available ActionsRight-click Actions for Co-owners
  • Double Click on a Co-Owner's name to see which Vaults they co-own.Details page of a Co-owner

Unassigning Co-Owners:

  1. Go to the Vault details page under the sub-portal.
  2. In the Co-Owners Tab, locate the Co-Owner.
  3. Click the three-dot menu next to their name and select Unassign.Unassign Co-owner

Resending Activation Emails:

  • From the Co-Owners Tab, click the three-dot menu next to the Co-Owner’s name.
  • Select Send Activation Email.
