How to Share Documents with External Users inside a Vault?

You can share a document with an external user within your client's vault or the Corporate Vault. This feature allows you to share a document with someone who is not a contact or a Trusted Collaborator in the vault.

Sharing Methods

Right-click on the document: Select Share from the Actions menu.

While viewing a document: Click the Share button in the Actions menu or the right panel next to the file preview.


Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Click on Share

Step 2: In the Share Document pop-up window:

  • Type the email address or the name if it’s already set up as a contact and select it.
  • You can keep or modify the prepopulated subject and message.
  • To add an extra layer of security, set an expiration date. After this date, the encrypted link will be deactivated, and the user won’t be able to view or download the document anymore.

Step 3: Click Share.

Removing Access

To remove access at any time, click on the “Shared with” button and select the “x” next to the name of the person.

By following these steps, you can securely share documents with external users and manage access efficiently.
